Hanford man turns himself in after being accused of child molestation
A Hanford man has turned himself in to police after being accused of sexually abusing a child, police said.
Shawn Hedden, 39, turned himself in Sunday and was booked into the Kings County jail, Hanford police officer Jarred Cotta said.
Police were notified of the alleged abuse by a family member of the 11-year-old victim, Cotta said. It appears the child was first abused two years ago, he said.
Hedden is expected to be charged with several counts of child molestation.
