Man allegedly stabbed, strangled girlfriend. He was arrested next morning at a casino
A 31-year-old man was arrested at Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore the morning after he allegedly stabbed and strangled his girlfriend in Fresno.
Esteban Canchola Rosas was arrested Wednesday morning by the Kings County Sheriff’s Office after he resisted arrest, said Fresno police spokesman Lt. Mark Hudson.
Rosas was booked into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder and nine other counts of felony assault.
The victim is in stable condition at an area hospital.
Hudson said Fresno police responded to a domestic violence call shortly before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at a southeast Fresno location, which was not made public, where officers found the female victim. She was conscious, with multiple stab wounds to her upper chest, bruises on her face and strangulation marks on her neck.
She told police that her boyfriend, Rosas, attacked her and then fled the location.
