An early morning fire at an unoccupied home in central Fresno is under investigation as a possible case of arson.
The fire erupted about 7 a.m. Wednesday at East Clay Avenue and North Bond Street. A Fresno fire spokesman said a man and a women were seen by witnesses leaving the boarded-up house a short time after flames were seen in the structure.
The house was posted with notices warning trespassers to keep out, and the spokesman said there have been previous fires at the address.
The amount of damage is being assessed.
