Police: Two armed gang members arrested in traffic stop in southeast Fresno
Fresno police arrested two reported gang members armed with firearms during a traffic stop Sunday night in southeast Fresno.
Sgt. Adrian Alvarez Sr. said the officers were on patrol near Peach and Olive avenues about 10:30 p.m. when they pulled over a car for a traffic violation.
Jasiah Cooper, 21, and Keshawn Givins, 19, both reputed Dog Pound gang members, were booked on firearms charges after officers found a Taurus .357 magnum revolver and a Bersa .380 semi-automatic pistol.
Alvarez said that officers in southeast Fresno have recovered 59 firearms this year.
