Woman wearing Pokémon hat stabs homeless man, police say
An homeless man was in critical condition after a woman allegedly stabbed him outside a convenience store in central Fresno on Tuesday evening.
The man, in his 60s, was stabbed in the torso with an unknown object outside the Fast N Easy convenience store at Blackstone and Fedora avenues, according to Fresno police Lt. Steve Card. It was a large wound, and he was taken into surgery at Community Regional Medical Center.
Police are still looking for the woman who allegedly stabbed him. She is described as a white woman in her early 40s with brown hair, under 5 feet tall and around 200 pounds. She was wearing a Pokémon hat and was last seen leaving the scene on a bike, Card said.
Surveillance video shows the two were arguing before the stabbing.
The two knew each other and both are homeless. They are known to frequent the area outside the convenience store, Card said.
