Woman arrested after allegedly setting fire to tent with two inside, investigators say

A Fresno woman was booked on charges of arson causing great bodily injury Tuesday morning after she allegedly set fire to a tent with two occupants inside near Ventura and G street in downtown Fresno.

One victim sustained severe burns and the second moderate burns, according to Fresno Fire spokesman Robert Castillo.

Pearline Louise Brown, 42, is being held on $80,000 bail.

Additional details on what led to the 4 a.m. incident were not released.
