Fresno County deputies searching for rare-coin thieves
Authorities are looking for a man and a woman who allegedly burglarized a northwest Fresno home this month, coming away with many rare coins worth $50,000.
Fresno County sheriff’s spokesman Toni Botti said the two suspects, identified as Eric Davidson, 31, and Jennifer Herring, 36, broke into a home near Shaw and Fruit avenues May 7. The home contained coins from the late 1800s and early 1900s — including Morgan silver dollars, Standing Liberty quarters and Flying Eagle pennies.
Herring is believed to drive a white 1999 Toyota sedan with a California license plate of 6VEA758. Both suspects have active arrest warrants for unrelated crimes.
Anyone with information on the suspects’ whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (559) 600-3111 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP (7867).
