Body found in submerged vehicle in Friant-Kern Canal near Orosi

The body of a man was found shortly before 2 p.m. Friday in a vehicle submerged in the Friant-Kern Canal at Avenue 436 and Road 140 near Orosi, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department said.

The investigation is being treated as a suspicious death, officials said. The cause of death has not been determined.
