Police investigating homicide after victim found near gas station in southeast Fresno
Fresno police are investigating a homicide after a man died in southeast Fresno early Friday, according to Lt. David Madrigal.
Officers received a call around 1:35 a.m. of a disturbance at the Food Zombie at 3110 E. Belmont Ave. As officers were responding, the call was upgraded to a disturbance in the parking lot involving multiple subjects.
When officers arrived, they found an injured man on the ground near the Food Zombie parking lot. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:12 a.m.
Madrigal said homicide investigators are still searching for details. The man has not been identified.
