Mariposa man booked in death of his 22-month-old son
A Mariposa man was booked Thursday on manslaughter charges in the death of his 22-month-old son.
Jesse Ashton, 21, is being held on $50,000 bail. The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office said Ashton called 911 on Saturday to report the child was having a seizure. The boy was rushed to Vallley Children's Hospital, but died later in the evening.
Detectives launched an investigation and Ashton was booked on the charges.
