Sexually violent predator sentenced to Coalinga State Hospital

A man the Tulare County district attorney characterizes as a psychopathic sexual predator with a risk of committing more attacks has been committed to Coalinga State Hospital.

Jessie Pritchett, 44, is responsible for “a rampage of violence spanning 30 years against more than 15 victims,” according to the District Attorney’s Office. Crimes include sodomy, attempted rape of a minor, assault with a deadly weapon and sexual battery.

Pritchett was convicted of two counts of sodomy while in jail in Tulare County and solicitation of murder in Los Angeles County.

Pritchett will be confined to the hospital for an indeterminate time under the Sexually Violent Predator Act of 1995.
