Four Visalia bars sold alcohol to an undercover minor, police say

After sending an underage decoy into 13 establishments on Saturday evening as part of an Alcoholic Beverage Control operation, Visalia police say four of those bars sold alcohol to the minor.

The underage decoy was able to buy alcohol from Jack and Charlies at 204 E. Oak Ave., The 5th Quarter at 3360 S. Fairway St., Rookies Sports Bar and Grill at 215 E. Main St. and The PhD at 208 W. Main St.

The four bars will face administrative reviews and could face a fine or suspension of their alcohol licenses, police say.

Funding for Saturday’s operation was provided by the California Alcoholic Beverage Control’s grant assistance program.
