Fresno murder charges dismissed due to insufficient evidence
Murder charges against three men for a July homicide in Fresno have been dismissed.
The announcement was made Friday by the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office.
Gabriel Ornelas, Alberto Perez and Eduardo Serrano were previously arrested on suspicion of murder charges after Jose Lopez, 31, and Bulmaro Ramirez, 39, were found shot to death July 5 in a southeast Fresno home.
Charges against the trio were dropped because prosecutors determined there was insufficient evidence to proceed to trial.
The charges were dismissed “without prejudice,” which means that they can be refiled at a later time if warranted. No other details were provided by the district attorney’s office.
