A man was arrested after allegedly assaulting three Tulare County sheriff’s deputies after a traffic stop in Earlimart on Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said.

Armador Fernandez-Duran, 43, was pulled over in the 600 block of Bent Ranch Avenue just before 10 p.m. and immediately got out of his vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.

He began to fight with the deputies and allegedly tried to grab a deputy’s gun.

He then ran from deputies who caught up to him and arrested him on suspicion of assaulting a peace officer.

Three deputies were hurt during the altercation with Fernandez-Duran, the sheriff’s office said.
