Armed gang member arrested in Fresno’s Mayfair District
An armed Bulldog gang member was arrested Tuesday by a gang suppression team as officers launched a sweep in Fresno’s Mayfair District to combat a spike in violent crime, police report.
The sweep follows a weekend shooting and several previous gun incidents in the area. Police reported Armando Lopez was pulled over in the 3400 block of East Normal Avenue in a traffic stop. Officers recovered a loaded firearm and booked Lopez into Fresno County Jail on weapons charges.
