Meeting about possible abductor trying to kidnap Fresno children
A meeting is planned for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5 to address the sighting of a possible child abductor in northwest Fresno.
Tony Botti, spokesman for the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, said the meeting comes a day after a girl encountered a possible abductor while walking to her bus stop in northwest Fresno, west of Highway 99. Botti said it was the second such occurrence in that area over the past month. The girl ran home and is fine.
The meeting will be held at a community park bordered by Madelyn, Wrenwood and Tisha avenues. It is organized by the Neighborhood Watch Association under the auspices of the Fresno Police Department.
