13-year-old boy sent to hospital after being shot in southwest Fresno
A 13-year-old boy was sent to Community Regional Medical Center after he was shot in southwest Fresno on Monday, said Fresno police Lt. Carl McKnight.
Officers responded about 5:30 p.m. to California Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard after reports of shots fired.
Officers found the boy with a gunshot wound to his wrist. McKnight said the suspect also struck the front of Zack’s Market and a bystander’s vehicle.
The boy is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, McKnight said.
Police are now searching for suspects, possibly black males driving a black Mustang that has a red hood, McKnight said.
