Three shot in drive-by in southwest Fresno
Three people were hurt during a drive-by shooting in southwest Fresno on Sunday morning, Fresno police Lt. Rob Beckwith said.
Two men and a woman were shot while outside a home in the 900 block of Calwa Avenue. Their injuries were not life threatening and they drove themselves to Community Regional Medical Center, Beckwith said.
All three victims were described as African American and in their mid-20s to 30s.
The victims are not being cooperative with police, Beckwith said, but witnesses said a Silver Lexus SUV may have been involved.
Police were notified by ShotSpotter around 10:30 a.m. and also received several calls from the neighborhood about gunshots. They found shell casings on the street outside several houses, Beckwith said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Fresno Police Department at 559-621-7000.
