A grown man offered to pay a teen girl for a massage. She reacted in a smart way

Fresno law officers are on the lookout for a man in his 40s or 50s who drove up to a teen girl on Friday in central Fresno asking for a “massage.”

The girl was walking at Holland and Thorne avenues near Wawona Middle School around noon when the man, driving a silver or gray Mercedes, pulled up next to her and said he’d pay her for a massage, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The girl turned him down, walked to Wawona and reported the incident to school staff.

The man left the area after being turned down.

The driver of the Mercedes was described as a white man with brown eyes who was clean shaven with salt-and pepper-colored hair pulled back into a ponytail.

The man’s description has been sent to all patrol units with Fresno police and the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office asked the public to be vigilant and be smart about encounters with strangers. The sheriff’s office recommended people walk in groups in well-lit areas and be aware of surroundings.
