Fresno police auto theft detectives Thursday booked Lupe Delgado, 33, on charges of operating a chop shop and being a felon in possession of a firearm after a parole compliance check near Cornell and Blackstone avenues.

Sgt. Doug Goertzen said detectives found a stripped Chevrolet Equinox parked near a residence occupied by Delgado. The SUV was stolen from southeast Fresno. Anyone with information about stolen vehicles is asked to contact the Career Criminal Auto Theft Team at 559-621-2228 (CCAT) or call Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7867 (STOP).
