He kicked down the woman’s door, but ran when she screamed
A Hanford man was arrested in connection with a home invasion and seven Kings County burglaries, the Kings County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday.
A spokesman said James Cruse, 27, is the suspect believed to have kicked down the door of an elderly home owner Wednesday after the woman didn’t answer her door in the 5000 block of Excelsior Avenue. The woman began screaming when Cruse entered the home and Cruse reportedly fled in a 2003 Honda Accord. Deputies stopped Cruse nearby and found evidence linking him to the crime. Cruse was booked into jail on a bail of $255,000.
Anyone with information about related crimes is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 559-852-4554.
