Fresno firefighters put out suspicious blazes under Highway 180
Fresno firefighters put out a series of fires under and near the Highway 180 and Abby Street underpass Tuesday afternoon, the same area where a fire was reported Monday night.
Battalion Chief Tony Escobedo said the fires were suspicious in nature. Fire investigators were called in after the Monday night fire.
The blazes were quickly extinguished, but traffic was snarled after the Tuesday fires erupted about 12:30 p.m.
