First he got physical – then he set her property on fire, police say

A Visalia man was arrested early Monday after an alleged family disturbance after which he set his victim’s property on fire.

Police responded to a call at 6:46 a.m. in the 500 block of East Myrtle Avenue where they learned John Leon, 26, had gotten into a physical argument with a non-named victim. In addition, he set some of her property on fire, police said.

Leon was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery and arson and was booked into the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility without incident.
