Pedestrian killed at highway interchange identified by coroner

A pedestrian struck by a vehicle and killed on the Highway 99/180 interchange last weekend has been identified as a 54-year-old man.

The incident was reported just before 1 a.m. Saturday by the California Highway Patrol.

The victim, Roger Reynolds, who is possibly from Kingsburg, according to the coroner, may have been lying on the westbound Highway 180 transition to northbound Highway 99 when he was struck about 1 a.m. Saturday.

The CHP investigation is continuing.
