He was already wanted when he intentionally mowed down another man with his car
A Hanford man was arrested Wednesday night for suspicion of intentionally hitting and critically injuring a man with his vehicle on Sunday, Hanford police said.
James Marshall Flores, 47, was arrested late Wednesday night by Hanford police detectives and booked on suspicion of attempted murder and a parole violation. His bail is set at $500,000.
On Sunday, Hanford police officers went to the 900 block of South Williams Street for a report of a man who was struck by a gray Jeep. The driver of the Jeep fled following the collision.
The victim, Luis Vasquez, 32, was found unconscious in the middle of the road. He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where he is in critical condition.
Officers learned that the driver deliberately hit Vasquez. In their follow-up investigation, detectives learned that the driver was Flores, who was on parole with a no bail warrant for his arrest.
On Wednesday, Flores was found staying at a residence on Flint Avenue, where he was arrested.
