An 80-year-old man was arguing with his son when he fired a shotgun at him, police say
An 80-year-old man was arrested in Visalia after he fired a shotgun at his son Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Officers arrived to a home on the 2800 block of West Victor Avenue at 3:23 p.m. where they found two men struggling over a shotgun.
Police said Aaron Dale Sweeney and his son were having an argument when Sweeney reached for a shotgun and fired one round at his son.
Sweeney’s son was not hit and no one was injured.
Sweeney will be booked into the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility on suspicion of attempted murder.
