He dragged her then tried to cut off her hair. Now he’ll be charged with spousal abuse
A man was arrested early Sunday morning in southeast Fresno after police discovered him viciously abusing a woman in an apartment.
At around 6:52 a.m. Fresno Police were called to an apartment at 5145 E. Lane Ave. after receiving reports of a woman screaming and a man armed with a pair of scissors.
Upon arriving to the scene police were informed by security that a woman with blood on her face was dragged by her hair into an apartment.
The officers surrounded the apartment and forced their way in after no one responded to their calls.
As police entered, a visibly distressed woman ran out to the officers. The suspect then surrendered to police.
It was discovered that the victim was going through on-going abuse and had many injuries, police said. The suspect had been cutting off the victim’s hair and refused to let her answer the door for police.
The suspect will face charges of a felony spousal abuse, false imprisonment and resisting arrest, police said.
