Deputies went to the house armed with a search warrant as they investigated a burglary. They hit the jackpot.
Not only did they find about $50,000 worth of stolen propery at an Armona residence, authorities announced Wednesday, they discovered drugs and drug-making equipment.
A search warrant was served about 4 p.m. Tuesday in the 11200 block of Christie Circle, the Kings County Sheriff’s Office reported. Property was found that had been stolen from a storage unit earlier this week, according to a sheriff’s news release.
There was also about a half-ounce of methamphetamine and roughly 10 pounds of marijuana, plus equipment used to extract a powerful marijuana byproduct, the sheriff’s office stated.
Danny Almario, 50, was arrested at the scene and booked on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property, methamphetamine for sale and a butane honey oil lab.
What led authorities to the house was not revealed. Bail was set at $590,000.
