Woman struck by car, critically injured in Visalia
A pedestrian was critically injured when she was struck by a car early Tuesday in Visalia, police reported.
The crash occurred about 6 a.m. as Francisco Diaz, 56, was southbound on North Locust Street at West Oak Avenue when his Volkswagen struck the unidentified woman. She was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center. Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
