One man is dead, another arrested after police said he confessed in Madera stabbing

One man was stabbed and another arrested after allegedly confessing to the slaying, Madera police said Saturday night.

Police were called about 6 p.m. and arrived in the 600 block of South D Street to find a man who officers said confessed to stabbing the victim.

The other man, suffering from multiple wounds, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators were still working to positively identify both men.
