Young boy who drowned in Fresno apartment complex pool is identified

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the boy who drowned in a swimming pool in Fresno on Tuesday as Giovanni Ohano, 2  1/2 years, of Fresno.

He drowned in a pool at an apartment complex at Fruit and Ashlan avenues.

Police responded about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday to the apartment complex at 4065 N. Fruit Ave. First aid was performed on the boy, but he died later at the hospital, police said.
