Her baby boy was a month old when he stopped breathing. She’s now accused of killing him
A Tulare County mother is in jail days after her baby boy was found dead by Tulare County sheriff’s deputies.
Just after 11 p.m. Saturday, deputies went to a home on the 7200 block of Avenue 248, southeast of Terra Bella, for a report of a 1-month old baby who was not breathing. Despite CPR attempts by deputies, ambulance personnel determined the child was dead. An autopsy on Tuesday found the boy died of blunt force trauma, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department said.
Detectives with the sheriff department’s Violent Crimes Unit followed up on the case. And now, the boy’s mother, Alejandra Tracy Rodriguez, 24, is facing a murder charge. She was booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
