Fresno chiropractor Dr. Arthur Hernandez faces felony charges of sexual penetration by force and sexual battery after he was booked Wednesday in connection with two alleged assaults at his office in the 5200 block of North First Street, police reported.

Sgt. Daniel Macias said officers received two separate reports from victims of the alleged incidents.

According to a complaint filed by the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office, the sexual penetration charge concerned an incident on Sept. 26, 2016 and the act was “accomplished by force, violence, duress, or fear of immediate … bodily injury.”

The sexual battery involved an alleged incident on Dec. 21, 2016 and charges that Hernandez “did willfully and unlawfully … touch and intimate part of Jane Doe II,” and “the defendant fraudulently represented that the touching served a professional purpose.”

Efforts to reach Dr. Hernandez were unsuccessful.
