Assailants hit man on the head with fists and BB gun in Visalia parking lot

A man was hit in the head with a BB gun and beat up in a Visalia parking lot Friday night, landing him in the hospital, according to Visalia police spokesman Sgt. Damon Maurice.

The man, who was not named by police, was trying to drive away from 1537 S. Court St. when officers arrived just before 7 p.m. They observed he had a head injury. He said three to four men came at him in the parking lot, physically assaulting him and hitting him with a BB gun. The men then fled in a waiting vehicle, said Maurice.

The man was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries.
