High on meth, man forces way into Tower District home
A man high on methamphetamine was taken to a hospital Friday monring after he apparently entered the wrong Tower District house, police reported.
The incident occurred about 8 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Wilson Avenue, about a block south of East Olive Avenue, where the frightened resident called police to report that a man with no shirt and camoflauge shorts was in the house. Police sped to the area, but found that the man had jumped out a window of the home and fled, a police spokesman said. Officers then learned that the suspect was on Roosevelt Avenue, a block east. Officers learned that the suspect had formerly lived at the Wilson address, but became confused while under the influence of the powerful drug. He was taken away in an ambulance.
