Women arrested for allegedly calling in bomb threats to school

A woman was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of making a total of eight bomb threats to a middle school and school district.

Nereida Valdez, 35, is suspected of making bomb threats to Pixley Middle School and Pixley School District Office.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Department said the threats were received via phone calls during a two-day period from May 11 to May 12.

Police arrested Valdez and took her to the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility in Visalia, where she was booked on eight counts of terrorist threats and eight counts of making bomb threats to a school.
