A woman ran over and killed a man in Visalia. Police think she meant to do it

A man died in Visalia on Saturday night after a woman intentionally hit him with a car, according to Visalia police, and she is now being sought by authorities.

The woman, along with a male passenger, allegedly hit the man around 10:17 p.m. near Conyer Street and Prospect Avenue. The car then fled the scene. Witnesses tell police it looked like the woman meant to hit the man. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.

His identity was not released pending notification of family.

Both the woman and the man who were in the car are in their 20s, police say, and the woman has a light complexion and blonde hair. The man is Hispanic with dark hair. Police are looking for their silver or charcoal gray 2006-2013 four door passenger vehicle, possibly a Toyota Camry or Corolla. It may have front end damage, police say.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Jacob Sorenson at 559-713-4576 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7867.
