They were carrying meth pipes and riding in a stolen car

Two women carrying meth pipes were arrested Monday in southeast Fresno after auto theft detectives stopped a stolen car in southeast Fresno, Sgt. Doug Goertzen reported.

The two were identified as Katherine Hackler, 33, and Christina Torres, 33, who was reportedly also carrying methamphetamine. Goertzen, of the Career Criminal Auto Theft Team, said detectives first spotted a stolen Ford Fusion near South Willow and East Lane avenues. The car was followed to Lane and South Winery Avenues, where Hackler and Torres were taken into custody. Both were booked on multiple charges.
