A man wanted in a gang-related shooting is under arrest after he was spotted on a street, Tulare police said.

Alexander Espino, 24, was taken into custody at 12:30 p.m. Thursday after he was seen walking in the 300 block of West Oakwood Avenue in Tulare. He was arrested without incident, police said.

“Thank you to our citizens of Tulare for being our extra eyes and ears on the streets,” Sgt. Andy Garcia said in a statement. Espino managed to evaded authorities Tuesday, and police put out a news release a day later that he was wanted.

Espino is suspected of being involved in a Tulare gang shooting May 7 in the 500 block of West Tulare Avenue, near E Street.
