Two Fresno men, including one who was just released from prison, were arrested Monday after police found a loaded gun in a diaper bag inside the SUV they were riding in, said Fresno police Sgt. Rich Escalante.

Geraldo Guiba, 21, and Jesse Sandoval, 26, were inside the SUV with other adults and a small child when they were pulled over near Church and Chestnut avenues Monday.

MAGEC officers searched the SUV and found drugs in the glove compartment and a loaded semi-automatic handgun inside of a diaper bag that was near the child, Escalante said.

Sandoval had been released from prison earlier in the day and was arrested on a parole violation. Guiba was booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of possessing a concealed firearm and possessing drugs while armed.
