Fire reported in southeast Fresno apartment complex
Fresno City firefighters are battling a blaze in a southeast Fresno apartment complex.
The fire at 4860 E. Lane Ave., Ranchwood Condominiums, had smoke and flames showingwhen firefighters arrived. The complex is near then intersection with Chestnut Avenue.

The fire started in a downstairs apartment and spread to a second apartment upstairs, but the fire will displace residents of all eight apartments in that portion of the complex, about 20 total..
“The apartments are pretty well damaged,” said Hector Vasquez, Fresno Fire Department public information officer.
There is no immediate report of injuries and no cause has been determined.
The fire was reported at 11:53 a.m. and was contained at 12:11 p.m.
The Fresno-Madera Counties chapter of the American Red Cross is en route to help those who are displaced from the fire.
