Robbery victim describes suspects – and police run into them still on the property
Two men are facing robbery charges after police say they took a man’s property at gunpoint in central Fresno Thursday night.
The victim flagged police down around 10:30 p.m. and described how the incident occurred at an apartment complex on the 2000 block of East Saginaw Avenue.
When police went to the apartment complex they found two men who fit the descriptions. Trelani Wiseman, 21, and Manuel Garcia, 28, were arrested without incident. The witness identified the two men as the robbery suspects and they were booked into the Fresno County Jail.
A gun found under a nearby car had been thrown just before the men were approached by officers. The weapon also matched the description from the victim, police said.
Wiseman was charged with robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon. Garcia was charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony.
