Child pornography charges filed against former state hospital worker and patient
Felony charges have been filed against two Coalinga men arrested Monday on suspicion of possessing child pornography and a cell phone at Coalinga State Hospital, the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office said.
Kevin John Chavez, 38, is charged in four separate cases of possessing child pornography and four counts of illegal possession of a cell phone from incidents between January 2012 and April 2015.
Kory Glynn Cooper, 29, who was a former hospital staff member, is charged with one count of possessing child pornography and one count of having a cell phone with the intent to deliver it to a patient. These charges are related to incidents that happened in April 2015.
Both men are scheduled to be arraigned in Fresno County Superior Court this week.
