Fresno police investigate shooting near Sunnyside High School
Fresno police are investigating a shooting Sunday afternoon on the corner of Peach Avenue and Kings Canyon Road near Sunnyside High School.
Police say a man was standing near the intersection when he ran into the median and fired at a silver compact car that was driving either west on Kings Canyon or taking a left from Kings Canyon onto Peach.
The man then ran east on Kings Canyon. Five shell casings have been found so far. No victim has been identified yet and police are still searching for the shooter.
A water polo tournament was being held at Sunnyside High School but no one was injured, police said.
