15-year-old Fresno boy sought in man’s shooting death
Police are seeking a 15-year-old boy in connection with the shooting death of a Fresno man in late September, as well as a 19-year-old who is a person of interest in the same homicide.
Camron Maurice Smith is the boy named in the shooting death of Farshad Jamali, 25, who was gunned down while sitting in a Mercedes in an apartment complex at 3275 W. Ashlan Ave. on Sept. 28. The person of interest is Malachi Lee Caputa.
Both suspects are at large. Smith is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. Caputa is 5 feet 7 inches tall and 140 pounds, with black hair and green eyes. Both frequent northwest Fresno near Marks and Ashlan avenues as well as other portions of the northwest area of the city.
Smith is considered armed and dangerous.
