Hanford teenager shot in leg, police say
A Hanford teen was shot in the leg Thursday afternoon as he walked home, Hanford police said.
The 16-year-old was walking to a home at 835 Holt Ave. when police say he was shot once in the left shin area. Police say the teen reported a black, four-door Dodge Challenger or Charger pulled up next to him just before 8 p.m.
Police found the injured teen sitting on the curb in front of the home. Shell casings or witnesses were not located, police said. The type of weapon used has not been determined.
The teen was treated for his injury at the scene before being taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia.
