Visalia police find 20 pounds of pot in car; two men arrested

Two men were arrested in Visalia on Thursday afternoon when police found 20 pounds of marijuana in their car after a traffic stop, Visalia police said.

Ganibel Gomez Huerta, 31, and Joaquin Lopez-Juarez, 26, were pulled over by police at Ben Maddox Way and Main Street when Huerta, the driver, began to run from officers.

Police said he was arrested after a brief chase, and the two men were booked into the Tulare County Main Jail on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale.
