Visalia police catch domestic violence suspect after wild chase
Visalia police chased a domestic violence suspect through several yards and one home before catching him Sunday evening.
Sgt. Brent Miller said officers spotted 38-year-old Michael Garcia fighting with a woman inside a car near Divisadero Street and Clinton Avenue in north Visalia about 6:20 p.m. Garcia ran from the car with officers in pursuit.
He went through several yards in the neighborhood then broke into an occupied home. He went out the back door and jumped another fence before he was brought down with the help of a police dog.
Garcia was booked into the Tulare County Jail on charges of domestic violence, home burglary, possession of methamphetamine and resisting arrest.
