Miss Winkles Pet of the Week of July 18: Lacey
She’s a tall girl and a large pup in general who loves to play, especially with water! With summer bearing down on us all, Lacey is the type of pup we can all enjoy, as she loves to splash and wrestle with her doggie friends in the kiddie pools. Lacey is about 3 years old and is an Anatolian Shepherd blend. She’s got a big, long tongue — the better to kiss you with — and a thick, beautiful white and brown coat that just makes her gorgeous. Her eyes even look like they have black eyeliner, which just adds to her pretty face.
Lacey has grown to like playing with other social dogs and has become a happy member of our large-dog playgroups. Her doggie skills improve every day. She particularly likes to chase, but wrestling is a close second. She knows “sit,” and has some good leash manners as well, and she’d make a great exercise companion. She is looking for a home without kitties; she’d rather stick to her human and canine buddies. Older children are preferred for Lacey, as she takes a short time to get used to new people. If you are wanting a large and silly new friend to keep you company, Lacey is a good one to check out!
Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at 85 Temperance Ave. just south of Sierra Avenue. All adoptable pets have been spayed or neutered, are current on their vaccinations and microchipped.
Adoption fees are $25 for dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
Note: the Pet of the Week may no longer be available after press time, but plenty of other adoptable pets are. Visit clovisanimalservices.org/miss-winkles for more information.
