Miss Winkles Pet of the Week of June 20: Jennie
Jennie is our little hula girl! She’s a little muscle-bound Staffordshire terrier blend who never stops wagging her tail — not for a second! That being said, her whole body wiggles with it and she’s just one little bundle of happiness when she meets new people.
Jennie is polite about her affections and absolutely adores children, too.
Her smile is the disarming and happy kind, with her big, wide grin and half-floppy ear. These make her look as goofy as she actually is.
Jennie makes friends with people very quickly, though she’ll need some help with making her canine buddies, as it takes her a little while to warm up to new furry companions. She’s made many new friends here at the adoption center, both of the human and canine variety.
Jennie does appear to have had some training in her past and this approximately 2-year-old girl seems to be housetrained as well. Jennie loves to get treats and play with stuffed toys.
She likes to have her human comforts and makes sure that we give her many, many blankets to laze about in when she’s not outside to play.
Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at 85 Temperance Ave. just south of Sierra Avenue. All adoptable pets have been spayed or neutered, are current on their vaccinations and microchipped.
Adoption fees are $25 for dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
Note: the Pet of the Week may no longer be available after press time, but plenty of other adoptable pets are. Visit clovisanimalservices.org/miss-winkles for more information.
